Loan Sales Representative
Purpose: Perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union. Provide and process the information on credit union products and services to members in accordance with credit union policies and procedures and State and Federal rules and regulations. Answer routine questions from members on consumer loans and rates in a professional manner. Listening to members' needs and providing access to friendly, fast, and affordable financing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Learn how to utilize credit underwriting techniques and sales tools.
Assist members with the loan application process to ensure completeness of the information.
Ensure that all members feel welcome to the credit union and are supported professionally in the process.
Present financial solutions, based on member needs, which meet their goals.
Develop new relationships to be able to provide excellent service throughout the loan process and loan life cycle.
Answer questions for members, when needed, throughout the process. Explain the loan process to include loan options, insurance options on credit union loan products, loan policies, interest rates, payoffs, etc.
Process loan applications over the phone or electronically.
Partner with local businesses to seek out and develop new members.
Present members with option insurance products.
Cross-sell credit union products and services.
Demonstrates an unsurpassed commitment to exceptional member service and teamwork.
Is fully knowledgeable of all credit union products and services and can confidently offer appropriate solutions to fit member needs.
Support and promote the Credit Union's Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and service
Respond to emails or other electronic requests submitted by members within 24 hours.
Any other duties assigned by the Director of Loan Sales/Chief Experience Department

Requires the continuous exercise of judgment following broad guidelines. Identifies and selects complex choices of action where standard practices may not exist. Must be able to accommodate detailed work, problem-solving, reasoning, math, presentations, verbal communication, written communication, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and use hands to operate a standard computer keyboard. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
EDUCATION
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. A College degree or college courses in a related field are highly preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to operate a personal computer and relevant software to access the credit union's accounting system and member account information. Basic input, output, error correction, general ledger account structure knowledge essential to be able to perform the job. Spreadsheet application knowledge essential to tracking performance and data.
